7. Safeguarding & Compliance Documentation (Artists Only)

As part of our safeguarding and compliance process, Making Art for Enlightenment collects and reviews documentation from freelance artists including:

  • Enhanced DBS certificate details

  • Public Liability Insurance documentation

This information is collected solely for the purpose of verifying safeguarding compliance and insurance requirements.

Where copies of documentation are uploaded:

  • Access is restricted to authorised directors only.

  • Documentation is stored securely.

  • Copies of Enhanced DBS certificates are reviewed and deleted once verification is complete, unless retention is legally required.

  • A minimal compliance record (certificate number, issue date, verification date) may be retained for audit purposes.

Making Art for Enlightenment does not use this information for marketing purposes and does not share it with third parties unless legally required.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

However, no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
